From disneyland to cafe 8 ball

domviva.jpgDOMINIC CAPPELLO (DIRECTOR, WRITER): Dominic started cartooning at age ten and worked in Disneyland’s character department-- observing humanity through the masks of Captain Hook, Goofy, and Big Bad Wolf.  His first cartoon series CAFÉ 8 BALL was published in Seattle’s The Stranger. The year long series illustrated cafe life “behind the 8 ball” in the late '90s. Turning his attention to writing books and directing in NYC, Dominic's first film was a 2005 sci-fi social satire called NOT BRAIN SURGERY. He moved to Santa Fe in 2006 to set up STUDIOLO on Canyon Road, where he works as a writer, artist, filmmaker and instructional designer.

Always trust your inner rat

In the independent, feature length, animated social satire CAFE 8 BALL, the only sane mind in the cafe appears to belong to a talking pet rat.
